Could do without the square clock in the center console but the interior looks great. What's odd is the passenger airbag off display. Why is that an option?

It's not something you yourself turn off or on. If the seat is unoccupied, the passenger airbag indicator will be turned off and not deployed in a crash. If the light is not illuminated, the airbag will deploy.

That's an interesting feature but why? To save money so not every airbag needs to be replaced after it's been deployed?

That's exactly it and being the vehicle it is I bet that's going to be expensive to replace. Smart move since Hyundai is all about value and this is one of the things that help to accomplish that.
