So, apparently the Genesis brand will not be launching in European markets until 2020. Apparently they also need different powertrain options.

It will however be sold in North America, China, the Middle East, and South Korea.

I'm not too familiar with Europe standards or what appeals to their market majority powertrain wise. Can anyone chime in on this ?

Really have no idea what powertrain Genesis needs to compete in the Europe market since it encompasses the power train, the engine, and the axle.

Something diesel perhaps ? I'm just kind of throwing ideas... playing darts in the dark at this point

Diesel would work in Europe and in multiple markets right now since we're at that point where we're waiting for hybrids and EV's to pick up momentum. So diesels have some room, potential to get good sales volume.

The only thing I would be worried about with the Diesel is that a lot of places are starting to look at it as a ridiculously high emitter of pollution. Especially after the whole volkswagon thing
