New here, considering my first Genesis

Hey fellas. Have been lurking for awhile but am now starting to take more of an active role here. Been on the fence about picking up a G80 and I think now I may wait to see what is being done with the refresh. Appreciate the feedback on all the issues and poor design choices that have been shared so far.

Welcome.

These should be some interesting time to own a Genesis product as the brand always performed well but only now we're getting ultra cool products.
The new G80 will rock the segment!
Glad to have a new member on the forum. I think waiting on the next gen model is a good decision, unless of course you're interested in saving some money and getting a second hand model. Plenty of 2017's with low mileage lurking around.

Just for the sake of saving yourself from the insane depreciation to come is enough unless you can strike a good deal (and they happen).
Welcome to the community Willardb. I agree with Blayne that if you don't have issue with buying something pre-owned that there are some good deals to be found on older G80's. Is there a spec you are leaning towards?
It's true and CPO is a great way to do that although you'll be paying more, its worth the trade off.
On the other hand, knowing what to look for and even having a mechanic you trust to look it over can save a few grand or more.
Thanks for the welcomes guys and I appreciate the feedback! Think I'll hold off and wait and see what happens with the 2020 refresh, but I will make sure to spend some time in the one of the outgoing models to see what build quality and fit and finish is like. Most interested in the Sport, with the 365hp V6.

If you're that serious about it then I suggest speaking to your dealers and see what they say.

Some of these guys are required to attend dealer events months well ahead of a new vehicle release, so the details are out there, we just have to look.
