Everytime I read G8 I kept thinking of the Pontiac haha. But, what are your impressions on it so far? How many miles have you racked up?? And lastly, welcome to the forums and congratulations.
New G8 Ultimate
Went in for the first service on my 2016 Azera and cane home with a 2017 G8 Ultimate 5.0. It was sitting on the showroom floor and that was it. Loved the Azera, but the G8 is amazing.

I have put 400 miles on it and so far I am more than pleased with everything about it. Ample power and very quiet and co0mfortable as well as a smooth ride. The fit and finish is excellent. It is much more solid than the Azera. You can feel it when you close a door or close the hood. Closing the hood on the Azera was tinny. The G80 is my every day work car and will get a lot of use
That's always a very satisfying feeling. When your close the door and it just feels so solid. That's great to hear though, exhaust notes are loud at all or is it very quiet?
Oddly enough that's one thing I look for in vehicles in this segment or surrounding segments, just part of the whole experience and feeling that goes into the day to day interaction with your vehicle.
Unfortunately sometimes car makers like Mercedes reach a high point in the game and slack off here knowing it will do little damage to their bottom line. Instead they make you buy an S-Class or something high up to experience this.

It is just plain quiet and handles way better than the Azera did. The more I drive it the less I want to drive anything else. Great! Anything you think that it's lacking perhaps or something you would want more of? Any complaints pretty much?
You... actually all of us should be in for a real treat down the road since Hyundai/Genesis has displayed aspirations for higher performance trims and models. G80 is a perfect model to get something to the equivalent of a Lexus LS F-Sport. And that's just from factory.... imagine what aftermarket might doIt is just plain quiet and handles way better than the Azera did. The more I drive it the less I want to drive anything else. Agree - quiet is good. Mountain roads in WV gave me practice with power (accel & brake). And, I didn't have "sport" mode engaged. For a sedan, I was happily impressed. As above owner mentioned, "The more I drive it the less I want to drive anything else."
