New member here looking for a new Sedan to replace my aging one and the Genesis G80 has that classic Sedan look that I like. Nice clean lines and that pinched strip of metal going from the headlight tot he taillight looks great.

Are you only interested in the Genesis or are you also looking into vehicles from other brands? I typically see those into Hyundai also looking at Lexus. One downside with Lexus is their so good that a lot of people buy them, exclusivity is sort of gone right there.
The Lexus GS F and LS both look nice but like you said, every few cars are a Lexus. Genesis is a great car, exclusive and with the reliability of Hyundai.
Why the GS-F? That's quite a stretch from just pure luxurious sedans like the Genesis and Lexus LS. How much are you looking to spend out the door?
I find that Genesis sedans usually get a reaction like, "Oh that looks nice. What is that?" People love them but aren't that familiar with the product.
I think all they need to do is engage the public more and educate people on the cars they sell, that way it helps them out in the long term. But those already passionate about cars are already in the loop about it and know, a good portion of them have money for these .
Looking at around 50k with all the bells and whistles, tax, fees, etc. The starting price is $43,000 so that give me a lot of wiggle room. I haven't really decided if I wanted to go full luxury like the G80 or more sporty.
So what sporty models are you thinking of?
If it interests you, a used Lexus LS F-Sport might be a good option, just make sure its CPO and you'll be good to go. Plus you get all that Lexus reliability, tech, amazing design, etc.
I fear going the used vehicle route since it's hard to tell what's happened to it previously. I'm not mechanically inclined and even if Lexus is known for reliability, for all I know the previous owner could have ripped down the streets with it. an alternative was to go for a coupe but I think the G80 has a great interior that I could sink into.

You can however take the vehicle to a mechanic or a few mechanics to have it inspected, at least then you have a solid point of reference to suggest what state the vehicle is in.

But there might be some way to pull up data on how a car was driven. I think Porsche has that feature on the 911.
