Learned from local Hyundai dealer that he can sell a Genesis G80 and he can perform routine service. However, he cannot do warranty work. The lack of a Genesis dealer within 1.5 hours of me is my biggest reservation about purchasing one. The valet service ends at 36 months.

I imagine this will be the case once owners get service at their door step, no need to be impressed by some fancy dealership, instead it'll be a service guy driving into a service bay next to a Hyundai Accent

I assume you mean the valet service where they drive a loaner Genesis to your home/office and exchange it for yours, which they then drive to dealership for service? Or are you talking about some very limited service they perform in your drive or parking lot?
Not sure any of that actually applies if you purchase a Genesis through a Hyundai dealership. Even if it does, valet service ends after 36 months for any Genesis. They owner has to take car to dealership and wait for service or have someone pick him/her up.
