Some spied picture for a teaser ;) although it ain't great, but you can still see parts of the car:

The show car had a 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine in it and it produces 311 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 397 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The luxury sedan comes with a power tilt-and-slide panoramic sunroof, rake and reach adjustable steering wheel, auto-dimming wing mirrors, Lexicon 14-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats, powered rear sunshade and manual rear side shades, LED fog lights and a full-colour heads-up display. A Lexicon 17-speaker sound system is available as an option.

On the safety front, the sedan gets the advanced Genesis Smart Sense, which includes Highway Driving Assistance, Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assistance System. Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Active Blind Spot Detection and Driver Attention Alert.

Wonder if they turned off the Pedestrian Detection system while testing on Bangalore roads. The j walkers and small scooters make be too much for it to handle.
I have a good feeling that is the case, there's just about no information out there suggesting self-driving vehicles on a production level have reached that level of sophistication. Most are just good enough for most American highway and city driving conditions

Spied photos aren't all that riveting when it comes to the Genesis G80 since it's pretty much identical to the current outgoing Genesis sedan.

Think the Advanced Smart Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assistance System can be used together so the G80 can kind of drive itself in a straight line?

It's true since the design language has remained the same and once you see the design language that will be applied to the brand entire line up, with simple logic you can picture in your mind what the end product will be like.

I'm quite happy with how it is right now. Plus this is just going to be for the first year, then there's the potential to see sport versions. Have to look at it similar to what the Germans do and what other brands are trying to do, Lexus being one of them.

There will but I can only see that happening with certain models as full on performance models, so the G70 could get it. But the G80 might get a sport trim sort of like what some brands offer, a good example is the F-Sport package for the Lexus LS.
