Believe it or not but according to a recent J.D Power survey, Genesis is the most appealing new vehicle to owners. It beat out rivals like Porsche, BMW, MB, Audi, Land Rover and Lexus. Brands are scored on a 1,000 point scale and the premium Korean brand jumped 15 points this year to 884. This marks the second year Genesis was ranked as a stand alone brand. Here's a look at the ranking.

Hard to believe how far this brand has come in just a few short years. If they are able to deliver on any of these new concepts we've seen, I think they are well positioned to take sales away from the likes of BMW, MB and Audi. These new models just need some time of the market to determine long term reliability.

Once you offer luxury and performance that undercuts some well established brands all while offering mostly worry free ownership, it creates a big incentive to buy.
A very similar thing happened when Japanese car makers entered the North American market, now it has shifted to the Koreans.

Hyundai's have been found to be fairly reliable long term, so I don't see why that would be any different with Genesis models. And considering they are offered with great factory warranties, most serious issues will be covered in your first couple years of ownership.

It helps too that Genesis and Hyundai dealers offer good service. Of all the Hyundai and Genesis owners I know, few have complaints if any.
