Autotrader has released a couple of different articles which go over their impressions of the G80's performance and driving impressions. Found a couple of charts which show how the G80 stacks up to key rivals, at least on paper.

Regardless of how anyone looks at the G80, or any Genesis product currently, they'll always be the underdog and that's a tough thing to stomach if you're really into these products.

Genesis just doesn't have the scale just yet to attempt what those more well established brands have going for themselves.

It's perfectly acceptable for the G80 to be a bit behind German rivals. For what you are saving on the buy in price, you're going to have to forgive some shortcomings. Don't forget about what you'll save on yearly running/maintenance costs.

I guess the best thing we can take away from its rivals outlined here is that it defines how well or how bad it really is.
Looking at the G80 alone isn't good enough even if you can only afford it, perspective is everything with buying.
