Genesis will finally enter the Australian market this June, following a bunch of delays. The G80 will start from $68,900 and will be available from a brand new showroom located in Sydneys Pitt Street Mall. For this market it will be available in two trim levels with the G80 Ultimate coming at a large premium ($88,900).

Its odd that Genesis isn't launching the G80 and G70 at the same time in a new market. Maybe they are looking to test interest before bringing over the full lineup? Are sedans in as big of decline down under as they are in NA?
Platforms are what it comes down to at the end of the day.
Eventually what underpins the G70, G80 and G90 will graduate to more lucrative segments.
Considering that, at worse they will be suffering in the short term.
