Three months searching for Pamplona Red w/Beige leather took me to Richmond, VA. 800+ miles later, great 3-day vacation shake-down drive, now home. Gonna love this car!

What is purpose of "holder" on underside of trunk lid? [Am hoping to attach a pic for review.]

Welcome to the forums. That was one heck of a drive!!

That clip on the trunk lid is meant for the emergency triangles that euro spec cars come with. Something like below:

Laughing my butt off about the holder on the inside of the truck lid. I thought it was for a folding umbrella. Anyway, it works just fine for that. I guess I have owned too many German cars as that is something they would do.
Probably reason sales person couldn't answer and I haven't found in US manual. <smile>
Thanks for enlightening at least two owners.
Will find a purpose for it in USA.

If you can mount an umbrella there, I don't see why you can do so. Just a matter of finding straps to fit. :D
The possibilities are endless.

Good to hear that your liking the G80.
You could try to custom fab something in there for it, but I wouldn't go through the trouble. See if you can order the Europe spec road hazard safety sign and put it in it's appropriate spot.
Maybe this question should be in a separate "thread" (I'm new to this forum), yet it relates to the "5.0". Tire pressure. Probably a personal decision for every owner - especially dear to me. Have observed placard numbers [F=33, R=35] and that's what was delivered. I'm wanting to UP each by 2 or 3# based on my preference to easy rolling vs. soft riding. Would enjoy hearing thoughts & experience.

You definitely can up them by 2 or 3 if you prefer that feel and the harder tire. Me personally, I like to drop tires down 2-4psi depending more for a softer smoother ride. Typically it'll burn a little more fuel but I'm not worried about that. Also helps with traction and what not.

On my old little JDM car that's RWD and I mess around with it all the time, I drop the tire pressures down to 24-25psi in the rear.

I love everything about it and looking forward to what else Genesis has planned.
Do you think we'll see a G80L (long wheel base)?
