Are the G80's supposed to be able to read CD-Text? My G80 has the ultimate tech package with the HD display, and it does not read CD-Text. it does grab the data from Gracenote when available, but for CD-R's that I have burned (with CD-Text enabled), for commercial CD's with CD-Text, it just displays UNKNOWN ARTIST or UNKNOWN SONG. My previous two Genesis models read CD-Text just fine. Anyone else having this issue?

That's pretty odd. Typically I would think it would be the file info itself. Either that or some sort of file issue. Have you tried the same songs and type of cd and settings on the prior Genesis models you had and it worked?

I've noticed the problem as well. All of the CD's I burn are from iTunes using my a MAC computer. I'm not sure if it's a file format associated with MAC/Itunes. The next step is to burn a CD on a Windows PC using a different app such as Roxio etc and see if that makes a difference. Stay tuned......

Unfortunately this has to do with the encoding process so whether or not the CD was bought or burned won't matter. It's something that has to be enabled on the CD itself and I don't know if there is any work around with different software.
